What is Covered?

Knowledge of the basics of navigation and planning cruises on a maritime chart is just the start.  Expand that knowledge by using a variety of electronic devices to chart your course and enable you to plan your course under tidal, current and windy conditions.  


By learning more about dead reckoning, fixes and running fixes you will have attained a high degree of proficiency in navigating through coastal waters.  


In this CPS-ECP Course we cover GPS, Chart Plotters, Radar, SONAR, Autopilots and more. 


This course was formerly called Advanced Piloting.

How is the course delivered?

The Boating 5 course is currently delivered through a HYBRID format.  The majority of the sessions will be via ZOOM with 3 IN PERSON sessions.

When can the course be completed?

ONLINE

This class is currently being completed as a synchronous online delivery and will have live online sessions using Zoom.  


Courses will begin at 7:00 pm Pacific Time.


COST:  

  • Cost to Members:  $243 for printed book ($199.75 for e-book)
  • Cost to Non-Members:  $270 for printed book ($235.00 for e-book)
