All you need to know for the Transport Canada test is presented in an in person delivery with materials that are in an easy to read format that is both informative and entertaining. You can be confident that the study guide and your in person classes meets all the standards established by Transport Canada’s Office of Boating Safety.

How is the course delivered?

The best way to complete the PCOC is by attending an in-person class through the Nanaimo CPS Squadron.

The in-person training through NPS is conducted over 2 days, typically from 9 am until approximately 4 pm each day.

The final test will be completed at the end of day 2.

This is the only boating license accredited by Transport Canada and recognized by the US Coast Guard.

If you complete the PCOC with CPS-ECP your first year membership in CPS-ECP is at a special preferred rate.

When can the course be completed?

Courses are once again being conducted in person through the Nanaimo Power & Sail Squadron.
